Stephan Kothrade

President and Chairman Greater China, BASF

Stephan Kothrade has been the President and Chairman of BASF Greater China since 2016, based in Shanghai, China.

Prior to this role, Kothrade was the President of BASF-YPC Company and Managing Director of Nanjing Verbund Site, based in Nanjing, China, from 2012 to 2016.

Kothrade was born in 1967 in Landshut, Germany. He has a doctorate in Organic Chemistry from the University 
of Munich
