Yan Yan, the Director of the Office for Social Responsibility at the China National Textile and Apparel Council, also serves as the Vice President of the China Textile Information Center. Entrusted with the pivotal roles of advancing the social responsibility ethos within the China National Textile and Apparel Council and spearheading trade promotion initiatives at the China Textile Information Center, Ms. Yan is a distinguished alumna of Tianjin University with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Further enhancing her academic credentials, she pursued an EMBA from the renowned Renmin University of China. Recognised as a senior engineer, she also holds the honour of being a Board Member of the China Green Carbon Foundation. Under Ms. Yan’s visionary leadership, the textile and apparel sector’s commitment to social responsibility has not only witnessed groundbreaking research endeavours but has also garnered widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally. The meticulous development of the CSC9000T management system, which encapsulates the social responsibility ethos of Chinese textile enterprises, is a testament to her team’s relentless efforts. A staunch advocate for innovation, Ms. Yan possesses an extensive repertoire of experience in the realm of public governance pertaining to sustainable industrial development. Guided by the overarching principles of global sustainable development, she, along with her adept team, is at the forefront of devising strategies that resonate with China’s unique socio-economic landscape and the textile industry’s intrinsic characteristics. Their endeavours encompass the fervent promotion of sustainable supply chain initiatives, championing climate stewardship, overseeing the CNTAC-LCA working group, and orchestrating the ambitious Carbon Neutrality Acceleration Plan (30·60 Plan) for the Chinese textile and apparel sector. |
