Dr. Yaqian Liu is a future-oriented innovation leader who drives R&D in key global markets with a focus on customer centricity and sustainability. She joined BASF in 2004 and has held various management positions in research divisions, New Business, Care Chemicals, Dispersions & Resins, and Intermediates. Yaqian is passionate about meeting the market needs with sustainable business solutions that generate profit and social value at the same time. She studied Chemistry at the Xiamen University, China. She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Alberta, Canada and fulfilled her post-doctoral duties at the University of Göttingen, Germany. She holds more than 10 patents as well as various publications.
