Professor Chu Jian, a Ph.D in Engineering co-cultivated by Zhejiang University and Kyoto University, graduated in industrial automation with a graduate degree, and selected as the first batch of Education Ministry Changjiang Distinguished Professors. Prof. Chu Jian is a well-known expert in the field of industrial automation, industrial Internet and industrial security in China, as well as the founder of SUPCON Group, Ningbo Industrial Internet Institute (also as the president) and Bluetron (Lanzhuo) supOS Industrial Operating System. He also acts as Chief Scientist of Shanghai Jiaotong University Ningbo Artificial Intelligence Institute and Director of Zhejiang Intelligent Factory Operating System Technology Innovation Center.

Prof. Chu Jian has won the second prize for the National Science and Technology Progress Award for twice, the second prize for the National Technology Invention Award for once, Outstanding Young Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Innovation Research Collective Fund, National Key Important Science and Technology Plan Projects, etc. From 2017 to 2020, Prof. Chu Jian was selected as a "Highly Cited Scientist" by Clarivate Analytics for four consecutive years. In November 2020, Zhejiang SUPCON Technology Co., Ltd. (SUPCON Technology, 688777.SH) founded by Chu Jian was listed on SSE STAR MARKET. In April 2023, SUPCON has completed GDR issuance and listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. In February 2021, Chu Jian was named "2020 Chinese Top Ten Economic Figures of the Year".
