Born in March 1968, Mr. Huo Jian is a senior economist. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Northwest University, a Master's degree in Business Administration from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, and a Doctor's degree in National Economics from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Mr. Huo joined CNOOC in July 1990 and served in a number of positions, including Deputy Director of General Office of CNOOC Bohai Corporation, Director of Information and Public Relations, Manager of Government Affairs in General Office of CNOOC, Secretary of CNOOC Party Leadership Group, Secretary of CNOOC Management Committee, Acting Director of CNOOC Development Research Office and Deputy General Manager of CNOOC Oil Base Group Limited. From July 2008 to December 2011, he served as Party Secretary, Deputy General Manager and Acting General Manager of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited. He also served as Acting Director of CNOOC Development Research Office from July 2008 to December 2008. In December 2011, he was appointed as General Manager and Party Secretary of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited. In September 2017, he was appointed as Assistant President of CNOOC. From July 2018 to December 2019, he also served as Chairman and Party Secretary of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited. From December 2019 to September 2020, he also served as Director of Policy Research Office (Corporate Management Department) of CNOOC and Director of Policy Research Office of CNOOC Party Leadership Group. In July 2020, Mr. Huo was appointed as Vice President and Party Leadership Group Member of CNOOC. |
