Dr. Martin Brudermüller

Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, BASF SE

Martin Brudermüller has been the Chairman of Board of Executive Directors since 2018, and is based in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
He joined BASF in 1988 and held various positions in research, sales, production and management. 
In 2006, Brudermüller was elected as member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, responsible for the region Asia Pacific located in Hong Kong; In 2011, he was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, BASF SE, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
Brudermüller was born in Stuttgart in 1961. From 1980 onwards he studied Chemistry at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and received his degree in 1985. After earning his doctorate in Karlsruhe in 1987, he did a postdoc at the University of California, Berkeley, United States.
