Joshua Tan is an analyst with the ICIS Plastics Recycling analyst team, based in Singapore. He brings in over 4 years of experience in the sustainability and plastics recycling space having worked in a waste management consultancy.
Business Advisory Experience
Prior to joining ICIS, Joshua worked with GA Circular, a waste management consultancy driving circular economy in Asia. As a project executive, his role in projects includes conducting primary and secondary research across multiple stakeholders along the plastic waste value chain, analyze the data and present the findings back to the clients.
Joshua conducted research in The Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. Clients include FMCG companies like The Coca-Cola Company, Tetrapak as well as NGOs like The World Bank, National Plastic Action Partnership and International Finance Corporation.
At ICIS, he has been contributing to and maintaining the Mechanical Recycling Supply Tracker Database for Asia Pacific. This includes data collection through primary (virtual calls and meetings) research, secondary desk research and data analysis for both Asia Pacific and global regions.
Joshua also regularly supports external teams and projects by providing insights into mechanical recycling based on the data collected.

Diploma in Environmental Management and Water Technology from Singapore Polytechnic (Singapore)
