Dr. Shizhong Li is a professor at Tsinghua University, the executive director of MOST-USDA Joint Research Center for Biofuels, the director of Beijing Engineering Research Center for Biofuels. He is also an adjunct professor of Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, a consultant to Hainan Provincial Government, a member of the Advisory Board of UNDP China’s Hydrogen Program. He focuses his research interests on the cutting-edge of biomass biochemical conversion, and has established Green Hydrogen technology and equipment system from low-cost ethanol Solid State Fermentation, ethanol reforming for hydrogen generation, and photosynthetic hydrogen production; and developed Biomass Thermal Fractionation (BTF) technology for biochar and bio-hydrogen production. He also contributes to roadmap designing, development strategy formulating and incentive policy making for promoting China’s Biofuel and Bioenergy industry. |
