Professor Chu Jian, a Ph.D in Engineering co-cultivated by Zhejiang University and Kyoto University, graduated in industrial automation with a graduate degree, and selected as the first batch of Education Ministry Changjiang Distinguished Professors. Chu Jian is a well-known expert in the field of Industrial Automation, Industrial Internet and Industrial Security in China, and also well known as the founder of SUPCON Group, the company leading Chinese industrial automation, and Ningbo Industrial Internet Institute (also as the president). He also acts as Chief Researcher of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Researcher of Zhejiang
University.
Over the years, Prof. Chu was awarded the second prize for the National Award for Science and Technology Progress 3 times, the second prize for the National Award for Technology Invention, Outstanding Young Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Important Science and Technology Plan Projects, etc. In November 2020, Zhejiang SUPCON Technology Co., Ltd. (SUPCON Technology, 688777.SH) founded by Chu Jian was listed on SSE STAR MARKET. In February 2021, Chu Jian was named "2020 Chinese Top Ten Economic Figures of the Year".
