Chen Lin

Vice President, Chemicals & Products, Royal Dutch Shell Group

As VP Chemicals & Products, Lin Chen is responsible for managing Shell Chemicals business and further growth in China, and governing global Chemicals and Products’joint venture portfolio. Lin joined RDS in 1997 as a Graduate and has since worked in China, UK, USA and Canada throughout Downstream, Integrated Gas and Project & Technology. She has developed rich experiences in strategy and planning, finance management, business development, as well as joint venture and strategic partnership, including serving from 2014 to 2017 as CFO of the $20bln LNG Canada Project, a joint venture project backed by a number of oil & gas majors, and from 2017 to 2020 as Vice President in Shell China, responsible for Shell Downstream and New Energies’strategy development in China, new business development, acquisitions and divestments. Lin graduated from Peking University.
She also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. From Dec 2020 Lin serves as Vice Chair of Executive Board for the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) Multinational Companies’ Committee.
