Chu Jian, born in Chun'an, Zhejiang Province in April 1963, is a Ph.D in Chemical Process Automation jointly cultivated by Zhejiang University and Kyoto University of Japan, a distinguished professor awarded by the 
Ministry of Education and the founder of SUPCON Group. Prof. Chu was a director of the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology of Zhejiang University , an expert of the Expert Committee of National 863 
High Technology Research Program, National Strategic Emerging Industry Advisory Committee and National Nuclear Safety Expert Committee, a director of National Standardization Technical Committee for Industrial 
Process Measurement and Control, the chairman of China Electrical and Mechanical Integration Technology and Application Association, the vice chairman of China Instrument Manufacturer Association and etc. 

Over the years, Prof. Chu was awarded the second prize for the National Award for Science and Technology Progress 3 times, the second prize for the National Award for Technology Invention, Outstanding Young Fund 
of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Fund of Innovation Research Group, achievements and honors such as National Key Important Science and Technology Plan Projects, etc.
