Yan Hongtao

Vice President of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)

Born in December 1970, Mr. Yan Hongtao holds a Bachelor’s degree in Oil Storage and Transportation from the Department of Petroleum Machinery at China University of Petroleum-Huadong. He obtained his Master’s degree in Engineering of Storage and Transportation for Oil and Gas from the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum-Beijing. Mr. Yan also owns a professional title of Senior Engineer.

Mr. Yan began his career in July 1993 and has held various significant positions including Deputy General Manager of Development and Production Department at CNOOC Limited, Deputy General Manager of CNOOC (Shenzhen) Ltd., Deputy Chief Safety Officer of CNOOC Limited, General Manager of the Development and Production Department at CNOOC Limited, General Manager of CNOOC (Tianjin) Limited, and Vice President of CNOOC Limited.

In August 2024, Mr. Yan was appointed Vice President of CNOOC.
