Sun Zhenping, Professor, Doctor, Doctoral Supervisor of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tongji University, is the Director of the Department of Civil Engineering Materials, the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Civil Engineering Materials of the Ministry of Education, and the Deputy Editor in Chief of the Journal of Building Materials.

His main research directions include concrete admixtures, (ultra) high-performance concrete, pre mixed mortar, green low-carbon cement-based materials, resource utilization of industrial solid waste (including by-product gypsum), and soil improvement and solidification.
