Li Rong, a promotion researcher of Cultivated Land Quality Monitoring and Protection Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, PRC.He was a deputy director before his retirement, and is currently a vice president of China Humic Acid Industry Association.

He has conducted in-depth research on the current situation and evolution of cultivated land quality in China, including engaging in long-term soil investigation & monitoring & evaluation, farmland quality protection & soil improvement, scientific fertilization, demonstration and promotion of new fertilizer experiments and so on.

He participated in the drafting of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Black Soil", organized and participated in the legislations of multiple national and industry standards such as "Quality Grades of Cultivated Land" (GB/T33469), "General Principles for High Standard Farmland Construction" (GB/T30600), and "Technical Specifications for Fertilizer Service Points on Soil Testing, Formula and Fertilization" (GB/T31732).
