Born in 1964, he holds a Master’s degree in Engineering (with honors) from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and various other degrees in Advanced Industrial Marketing Strategic Management, Executive Leadership and Chemical Engineering.

From 1989 to 2002 he held different positions in Research, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Sales and General Management in DSM.

He joined Stamicarbon in 2002 as Licensing Manager and was promoted to the positions of Vice President in 2004 and Managing Director in 2005. 

Currently he is Chief Executive Officer of Stamicarbon and Technology President of MAIRE Group.He is also Senior VP Business Process Excellence of Nextchem S.p.A.
