Peter Zheng Kaiyu, a practitioner of sustainable business development, has earlier realized the breakthrough of realizing circular economy by scientific and commercial means in China. He has in-depth understanding and research on the international and domestic environmental protection and carbon neutral fields from policies to business models as well as rich practical experience. He was awarded the 2023 Global Zero Carbon City Business Leadership Award. He also serves as the Vice President of Shanghai Modern Service Industry Association. Peter is the author of the book “Carbon Neutrality - Technology Change and Industrial Application”.

Peter holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Nanjing University, an MBA from UBC Sauder, and a Master's degree in Information Technology. In his early years, he worked as a regional manager in Voith, Bayer, Bekaert and other foreign companies in Germany. He has been working in the field of energy saving retrofit, circular economy, corporate sustainability management, CDM, CER carbon credit. She has successfully established and operated packaging recycling programs in Western Europe and North America, and participated in the development of 4 CDM programs in China. In 2015, he returned to China to lead the establishment of his own packaging recycling and solid waste management network.

In 2021, he founded Upper Carbon Technology to provide digital solutions for the climate economy by combining his years of experience in corporate ESG assessment and carbon management systems. Provide a digital system for carbon neutral transformation of enterprises, through the vertical tracing and horizontal connection of massive first-level data in the industry chain, to provide compliance management and carbon data-related business opportunities for enterprises to tap.
Carbon ProbeTM, a carbon management SAAS tool launched in 2021, has obtained third-party certification from SGS, and has been jointly recognized by CDP, TFS, GBA, CATENA-X and other international organizations.

We led the development of ClimateTree, the world's first independent carbon data disclosure and open query platform, which allows users with green product needs to quickly find solutions, allows truly green products to quickly connect to the market, and allows data to be effectively linked and deposited. Data platform in addition to meet the needs of domestic manufacturers. By breaking down information silos and strengthening international cooperation in ESG compliance and carbon data standards, it contributes to enterprises going overseas and strengthening global green supply chain cooperation. It is also currently the largest open source platform for enterprise-level data.

In 2024, we started to launch DEEPGREEN.AI product, aiming to launch locally deployed vertical industry data models for ESG and carbon for industry chain owners. Accurately serves industry segments and provides data corroboration and content support for ESG management and decision-making.
