Professor Chai Maorong, Chief scientist in the field of hydrogen energy of SPIC, Director and Chief Technology Officer of SPICHE.

For more than 30 years, Mr Chai has been engaged in the technical development and application of noble metal catalyst and fuel cells, and has achieved a various of major innovative achievements in catalyst theory, material development, application technology development, etc., and has applied for more than 60 patents and published more than 50 papers.

Chai is also the vice chairman of China Energy Research Institute and Hydrogen Technology Committee in CSEE, the 14th Five-Year Plan Deputy Leader of Hydrogen Fuel cell Expert Group from Ministry of Science and Technology. He was awarded the "Chinese Energy Innovator of the Year" title by Hydrogen Energy Industry Promotion Association in 2020, even was awarded the title of "Craftsmen of the Nation" and the "Excellent Electric Power Technology Worker" in 2021.
