Feng Qian

Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering

Prof. Feng Qian, is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, an expert of automatic control and process system engineering. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at East China University of Science and Technology, the Chief Scientist of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Smart Process Manufacturing, the Director of the Key Laboratory of Smart Manufacturing in Energy Chemical Process, Ministry of Education. He is also the Deputy Director of the National Expert Committee on Smart Manufacturing and the Deputy Director of the Chinese Instrumentation and Control Society. He also holds positions as a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, Central Committee Member of the Jiusan Society, and Director of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of Jiusan Society.

He has long been engaged in the research on the applied fundamentals, key technologies, industrial software as well as the integration of systems for smart process manufacturing, focusing on the efficient utilization of resources and energy in energy chemical processes. He has won 1 First-Prize for Higher Education National Teaching Achievement Award, 5 Second-Prizes for State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and more than 40 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards including 16 provincial and ministerial-level first-prizes.
